On Sunday, September 1st, Hillside FC was honored to attend a special mass service at St. Augustine Cathedral Church, where we received blessings and support from the church leadership and fellow believers. The service was a heartfelt and inspiring moment for our club, as we embark on our journey to Division 1!

Our Club Owner, Simon Logilae (fondly known as Blacky), and Start-Up Lions CEO, Brizan Were, had the privilege of sharing the platform during the service. Their speeches were filled with gratitude as they thanked the church leadership for their unwavering support and collaboration.

A United Community: Football and Faith

Mr Simon emphasized their commitment to nurturing local talent and elevating the standards of football within our community. Their shared vision is to see football not just as a sport but as a unifying force that brings people together and inspires greatness.

“We are dedicated to uplifting our local talent and ensuring that our beloved sport reaches new heights,” said Simon, his words resonating with everyone in attendance. “With the blessings and support of our community and church, we are confident that Hillside FC will achieve excellence on and off the pitch.”

Blessings for a Brighter Future

During the service, The team received a warm blessing from the church, which has given the entire Hillside FC family renewed energy and inspiration. This blessing is a powerful reminder of the importance of faith and community support in our journey.
